Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions about Naturopathic Care
Naturopathic medicine recognizes an inherent self-healing process in people that is ordered and intelligent. Naturopathic care helps to identify and remove obstacles to healing and recovery and to facilitate and augment this inherent self-healing process. Naturopathic doctors treat each patient by taking into account individual physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, social, and emphasize the prevention of disease.
We work best with people who have already started making some changes to their health but need expert guidance and support — people who are not looking for a quick fix. We want you to have a realistic expectation about how long a health transformation takes so that we can work with you to achieve your health goals. If you’re willing to make any necessary lifestyle changes and can have patience as you trust the process, naturopathic care will be a great fit for you.
Thorough testing of your urine reveals areas of deficiency, as well as nutritional stress. Our urinalysis will give specific information regarding kidney function, carb/fat/protein digestion levels, chemical imbalances, excess sugars, colon health, a 24 hour average pH, Vitamin C levels, calcium levels, and dehydration levels. This helps us to craft a health and wellness plan designed to meet your body’s specific needs.
At this time, we are not aware of any insurance companies who cover our services. We see preventive healthcare as monumentally important, just as important as healthcare after a diagnosis. Perhaps even more important– as Ben Franklin’s old adage goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Because we want preventive healthcare to be accessible, we have carefully created programs to suit every financial level. There are no contractual obligations with us at Insight, and we offer enzymes and supplements shipped directly from the manufacturer to you, cutting out the middleman and saving you money. We also have an online product dispensary available to all of our clients. This resource allows you to purchase a wide range of other supplements and wellness protocols at a discounted rate.
Yes! Our urinalysis is done in-home and by mail and your enzymes can be drop-shipped directly to your mailbox. All of your appointments can be done over the phone or Zoom, making our services accessible nation-wide. Detailed notes from each appointment are sent directly to you in our secure client software system. Quality naturopathic healthcare really can be this attainable!
Note: If you are local to our Oklahoma office, we are happy to meet with you in person!
Enzymes are proteins created within our cells, and they are also nutrients naturally found in raw foods. Enzymes are the catalyst for every basic function of the body. We lose enzymes as we age, and as natural raw fruits and vegetables age (what we usually call rotting), they lose enzymes too! Additionally, foods cooked at high temperatures (fried, sauteed, canned, microwaved, etc.) lose all enzymes and all the health benefits enzymes bring! At Insight Wellness, we can assess any deficiencies present in your body and help identify the right enzyme supplements to help you attain optimal health.
No. Each program is uniquely suited to your specific health needs. Every body tells a story, and we are proud to only recommend the enzymes you truly need. You won’t find a “cookie-cutter” approach here. We look at your urinalysis lab results, your food logs, and your online nutritional survey results (as well as any symptoms you tell us about) to guide us to your perfect plan. We practice “conscientious care”, where we believe that not No– you won’t find a “cookie cutter” approach with us! Because everyone is unique, the program we put together for you is suited to your specific health needs. Every body tells a distinct story, and we are proud to recommend only the enzymes your body truly needs. Combining your urinalysis lab results, your food logs, your online nutritional survey results, and taking into account any symptoms you tell us about, we are able to develop your tailored wellness plan. We practice “conscientious care,” in which we believe that not every person needs -or will benefit from- the same solution. Not every client uses the same enzymes, nor does everyone need the same number of enzymes. We can easily change the dosing or add or retract enzymes to your program as you progress in your health. While the average client uses around 3 enzymes, many clients use less based on their needs.
Common Questions about Enzymes
Food is fuel for living. Carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals are essential nutrients designed to keep our bodies functioning at their optimal level. Less widely recognized nutrients in raw foods, but vitally important to our health, are enzymes.
Enzymes are found in fresh fruits and vegetables, and absent in canned or processed fruits and vegetables. These large and complex protein molecules are specific to what they will break down and digest. For enzymes to be active, they need the proper temperature, the proper pH, and the right material to break down. For example, the enzyme protease will only break down protein, not carbohydrate.
Enzymes control biochemical reactions– ours, animals, and plants. While vitamins and minerals are building blocks, it is the enzymes that do the work in our bodies. Enzymes are essential to proper digestion and overall health.
Enzymes are naturally occurring in fruits, vegetables, grains, and other raw foods. Enzymes work to ripen and then slowly digest raw food. For most of us, we obtain our produce at a grocery store, where it is expected to have an extended shelf life to stay fresh and look appealing. This is made possible through genetic engineering that slows the natural enzyme content in our produce.
The problem with this is that when we radically alter our food supply, we aren’t replacing the enzymes. And without the proper enzymes, our digestion and overall health become adversely affected.
It’s a common assumption that whatever we eat is just going to naturally be digested by our body. However, digestion doesn’t “just happen,” and the intricate process of digestion should never be overlooked when it comes to determining the root cause of many health concerns. When improper digestion occurs, symptoms such as gas, bloating and pain often happen.
Digestion breaks up our food into simpler chemical compounds the body is able to use nutrients from, in order to promote energy, growth, or repair. What promotes our digestion, then? Enzymes! If hydrochloric acid in our stomach is low, enzymes can not activate to bring about proper digestion and nutrient absorption.
Absolutely, yes. Digestive enzymes equip our bodies to make the most of our diet. With proper nutrient absorption, we are able to glean more health benefits from the foods we eat, powering our cells to be stronger and healthier.
Aging, illness, and inadequate diet and nutrition can contribute to a loss of enzymes and weak digestion. Enzyme supplements help in the absorption of nutrients, improving our overall health and energy and working to equip our bodies to prevent illness and premature aging.
Everyone can benefit from taking digestive enzymes. These little supplements help to replace enzymes lost during the cooking or processing of food, which frees your body from the burden of creating additional digestive enzymes. This allows your body to be able to naturally produce required enzymes for other vital functions, thereby increasing your overall health and wellness!
Most people can tell a difference in their body in regards to digestive concerns or other symptoms within a few days- some people notice within a few meals!
Common Questions about Theromography
The thermal images are sent to Physician’s Insight Interpretation. The health scan imaging staff includes over 10 medical doctors who received over 12-18 months of thermographic training and have many years of experience. Their knowledge is unparalleled.
It is extremely safe! Thermography is as safe as having your picture taken. Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging uses no radiation and no compression of the body is needed. The health scan imaging procedure is painless, safe, and uses FDA approved technology.
Unlike most medical imaging modalities, thermal imaging is non-invasive. We never need to come in contact with the patient at any time during the process.
Thermal imaging provides valuable information about what is going on inside your body. You’ve probably read that inflammation is at the root of most disease. Thermography is ideal for identifying inflammation in our bodies and identifying patterns that could possibly suggest:
- Breast Cancer Risk Assessment
- Dental Pathology Infection
- Digestive Disorders
- Sinus and Allergies
- Heart Disease & Potential for Stroke
- Lymphatic Stagnation
- Neuropathy & Vascular Disorders
- Joint Dysfunction & Arthritis
- Referred Pain & Trigger Points
- Injuries & Fractures
EveryBODY is unique and has their own unique thermal pattern. By establishing a health scan imaging baseline for you and monitoring your progress going forward through yearly thermographic check ups, you are able to see potential issues and take action before a disease process takes root in your body.
Yes! Thermography is ideal if you have breast implants. The accuracy of thermography is not affected in people with implants. Since there is no compression, there is absolutely no risk of damaging the implants. In addition there is no radiation that can cause drying of the implants over time.
For breast health scan imaging specifically, Thermography is ideal for
- Dense breasts
- Breasts with implants
- Previous radiation treatment
- Women from teens to age 50
- Fibrocystic breasts
- Inconclusive mammogram
No form of medical imaging can diagnose cancer. Biopsy alone can accurately diagnose cancer. However, thermography can detect the earliest physiological indications of breast cancer. Additionally, thermography can identify patterns that indicate estrogen dominance which is associated with a higher risk for breast cancer. Health scan imaging can also identify lymphatic congestion which is also a forerunner to disease.
When these patterns are identified, it enables a people to make important lifestyle changes so that they can have peace of mind and know that they are giving their best effort to making healthy choices and avoiding disease. As we monitor your progress through yearly visits, we will be able to see the effects of your good choices.
At Insight, “not cancer” is just not good enough. We want so much more for you!

Our policy is to receive payment in full at the time of service. We do not provide billing or any assistance in health insurance reimbursement, but we will provide a detailed receipt for filing purposes. Reports are normally available within 7-10 days. We can also provide rushed reporting for an additional fee and you can expect your results within 24 hours. The report and images will be emailed to the email address you provided. We are also happy to send a copy to your doctor or another healthcare practitioner.
If you would like to take action and improve any conditions that show up on your images, please contact your healthcare practitioner. If you need help finding a knowledgeable practitioner who honors thermography, we are happy to help!
Above all, we want you to understand what your images show and be confident in taking action.
The strength of thermography is the ability to monitor change over time. Before we can monitor change, we must establish an accurate baseline for you. One health scan imaging study cannot provide an accurate baseline so we strive to have two studies done in a 3 month period so that we can ensure that your body’s physiology is suitable to be used as a normal baseline. The importance of this baseline cannot be emphasized enough. It’s a powerful tool.
